Guest Blog Post: Look Your Best in Ten Minutes or Less! by Shanon Gilbog

Today's blog post is from our dear sister-friend, Shanon Gilbog from across the pond in London, UK. Cheers!

Nowadays people are so absorbed in working, earning money or running different errands that they often forget about their appearance. It is a well known fact that looking good makes good impression but how can you minimize the time you spend on doing your beauty rituals and look pretty at the same time? It doesn't matter if you have to wake up in the morning, take the kids to school go to work, then get back home and prepare the dinner for the family, you can find ten minutes per day for yourself. Yes, you read correctly – ten minutes a day is absolutely enough for looking great despite the busy way of life you are leading.

* There is not a beautician or a dermatologist who would disapprove of the importance of good sleep. An average adult needs between 6 and 8 hours of sleep per night otherwise the facial skin starts experiencing the symptoms of the lack of sleep pretty soon.
* Do most of the beauty procedures in the evening. Wash your hair, straighten / curl it, pluck your eyebrows. You are advised to go to a professional to take care of your eyebrows. Although they are commonly underestimated, eyebrows can completely change the way you look.
* When you wake up in the morning wash your face and dress up. Don't forget to prepare your clothes, accessories and shoes in advance. If you are always hesitating what to wear, you have to keep your wardrobe absolutely organised or you will never succeed in getting ready in ten minutes.
* Then, comes the make up. Apply the foundation in the same way you apply moisturizer and put some powder by using an appropriate brush.
* You are advised to skip the eyeshadows as their applications a firm hand and much more than ten minutes otherwise you risk looking hilarious.
* It is not surprising that the mascara is the favourite make up tool of every girl. It makes the eyes look brighter and wide open. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive and easy to use. Put some lipstick too.
* The terribly looking hair can spoil the good outlook so if you, for one reason or another couldn't wash it the previous evening and it's greasy, you can save time by applying baby powder. It will keep your hair in a relatively good condition for the last couple of hours. However, don't apply the powder directly to the scalp. Use skin blotting paper instead and make a ponytail.
* Keeping in shape during the day is extremely important. Drink as much water as you can in order to keep your body energetic and hydrated. Your skin will look good as well. Needless to say, eating fruits and vegetables is a must if you want to look great.
* Many women would consider all the tips above to be unrealistic just because it is not always possible to take care of themselves in the evening when they have to take care of the kids, clean the house, do the dishes and the ironing. In this case, you just have to prioritise. Do all the house chores and then perform your beauty rituals. If you have somebody like CityCleaners W5 to help you with the cleaning, you have to excuse for neglecting your appearance.

Running an entire household, looking after kids and being beautiful at the same time is a
challenging but not an impossible mission to accomplish.
